Good ol’ Zig. Everyone definitely knows a thing or two about Zig Ziglar. Majority of the time you are reposting that quote, it probably came from one of Zig’s books or the Ziglar Instagram xD
This book was more of a guideline of how to plan, prepare, and expect to achieve the level of success you want. This book is more on the motivation side, the author prepping you with the tools you need to succeed (or to at least try). Whether you use the tools or not is up to you. As you can expect, I pulled some takeaways and quotes that might give you that additional boost of inspiration to start or continue the journey you are on!
“Desire is the ingredient that changes the hot water of mediocrity to the steam of our outstanding success.”
If you are unable to answer the “why you want something” question in one simple sentence, it probably isn’t a true desire. So you can let go of that idea.
-When you really want something, when you desire it and get excited about it, you look forward to planning and preparing because you get to do it. Not have to do it!
“You don’t have to be great to get started, but you do have to start to be great.” You have to be before you can do before you can have. (stay tuned for this discussion on my instagram)!
“You are what you are and where you are because of what’s gone into your mind, but you can change what you are and where you are by changing what goes in your mind. Your thinking drives your choices.
“You don’t have to change the world, start by changing your world.”
“People who take risks are the people you’ll lose against.” -John Sculley, past president of Apple
Bottom line: “the greatest risk is to never take a risk, therefore dooming yourself to a life of mediocrity.”
“Failure is a detour, not a dead-end street.” “You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.”
It’s not what you got, it’s what you use that makes a difference.”
“If you learn from defeat, you haven’t really lost.”
“Use the setback as a setup for a comeback.”
“Those who wait until all the lights are green before starting will never leave home.”
“If there’s hope in the future, there’s power in the present.”
“Worry is a misuse of the imagination.”
“You find what you look for in life.”
So… I don’t know what it is you are waiting for, but get off your you-know-what and go do it! I don’t care if you contribute less than an hour to do whatever it is, because the more you put it off, the more your idea will sit. Do something for yourself for once, and continue to do it. Let me know how it goes!
